Hi, I'm Olesia.
I'm a mother of two boys, and Belgium has been my home for many years.
For more than ten years I worked as a professional floral designer, creating beautiful floral arrangements and decorating events. Creativity has always been an important part of my life, and I have always believed that beauty can brighten someone's day.
But another passion has always been with me — cooking.
I've always loved bringing people together around a table, preparing homemade meals and seeing how food creates warmth, conversations and happy memories.
In 2023, I became a volunteer at a crisis support center in Belgium. There I worked with many different people and children, including individuals with intellectual disabilities.
That experience changed me.
I realized that while emotional support is incredibly important, what many people truly need is an opportunity — an opportunity to work, to become part of a team, to learn, to communicate, to gain confidence and to feel valued.
That's when the idea for TasLab was born.
I wanted to combine two things that mean a lot to me: my love for food and my desire to create meaningful employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Today, TasLab is much more than a catering company.
Every gourmet box, every business lunch and every catering order helps create real jobs where people can develop new skills, socialize, become more independent and feel proud of what they accomplish.
For me, this is not charity.
It is about creating opportunities, building confidence and proving that inclusion and business can successfully grow together.
We are still at the beginning of our journey, but our ambitions are big.
Our vision is to build one of Belgium's leading inclusive food brands, open new inclusive kitchens, create many more jobs for people with disabilities and, one day, develop TasLab into an international franchise that combines exceptional food with meaningful social impact.
I truly believe that great businesses can change lives.
